A Christmas Card you say?

Is it nearly Christmas? I've not posted many christmas cards yet.... to be fair I haven't made all that many! Draaat!

But this is an exception! Oh yes!
Doodle Pantry has the most amazing snow angels ever! This may be because the creatures making a snow angel just happen to be those cute little ants :)

Check these cuties out!

Images: Doodle Pantry Snow Angel Ants
     Inks and Things: Printer Ink
Papers: Red card from Paper Mill Direct
Odds and Sods: Glamour dust along that there strip of double sided tape

Cute eh?
The great thing about these sets is that you get the coloured version, for when you're in a hurry (Exhibit A)
and also the outline versions for when you've got a bit of time and can colour in! Plus they always come with the best most pun-y sentiments!

This card was done in about 10 minutes start-to-finish! Just great for those stock of christmas cards we all need to make! You get 3 ants too so the combinations are going to be endless!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm off for my first, in a long line of christmas meals! Bliss!

Scent-sational

Hello again!

So how many days is it til Christmas now? Not many!! Eeek so exciting!
My first Christmas as a mummy, need to find somewhere to hide all the wrapped presents... I need an extra room :)

So I needed to make a card for my sister, she was/is/has turning 30!
I was looking through some of my favourite Doodle Pantry images and found this cute little skunk!
I know, I know skunk = not traditionally cute! Come on, this one by Laurie is soooooooooooooooo CUTE :D

I used the matching papers to create this quick, cute little card for her!

I love you!

Good morning campers!

Happy Tuesday to you! I have a day off work today, and Luke is at nursery.... FREEDOM! Although I am very busy working on lots of new projects.... more on that later!

So this card.... was one of those one off cards! The 'just because' cards.
I saw this card by the amazingly talented Vicky at Clips N Cuts. Its so adorable and I teamed the idea with a great set by Miss Tiina called Vector Rainbow Love could it get any cuter??

    Supplies:
Images: Rainbow Love by Miss Tiina
     Inks and Things: Printer Ink
Papers: Created using an overlay from Melstampz
Odds and Sods: Just some silicon glue

Before I printed it the poor littke bluebird was as clear as day! It got a bit drowned out on printing! Hey, maybe he is playing hide-n-seek or something :)

Have a wonderful day everyone

Boop Bop Beep!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a good week!

So I have a 'pen friend' in Canada. I say pen friend, its more a virtual affair!
She has a beautiful little boy and I wanted to send a card and a present over for him!
I heard he was a big fan of robots so I went for a browse on the internet and came across this set by Tickled Pink Studio!

The papers were from the same set!
The font is a downloadable one. Its a pretty simple card, but what more could a 1 year old want :)

Speak to you all soon

A little bit of Art Deco

Hello everyone!

A little while ago a friend asked me to make a card for a friend who was in to 'art deco'.
I had a little, well actually, a long google and finally formulated a plan.

So, I found a great tutorial on an art deco design card here.
It was really easy.... and I used this decoupage sheet to create the card!

It looks really glam! I like how it turned out!
I added stripes of purple glitter to the edges and to the outer edges of the card.

Here is a close up of the beautiful rose

and finally the beautiful design of the card. Eileen is a very talented lady!

Well i'm all art-deco'd out now!

Until next time :)

Top Banana!

So...  my dad has now retired, its great.. he wasn't happy in his job and he can now focus on what he truly loves... He is training to become a counsellor.

Obviously I needed to make him a card to mark this huge step in my dad's life!
I saw this amazing card by Arielle and used it as my inspiration.

I used a great digikit from Hero Arts to create this card.

The paper is from Pink Petticoat from this collection.
I don't particularly like how this one turned out... Not sure why! It doesn't look so playful as Arielles!
Ho hum!

I used another one of the images in the digikit for the inside:

Looking back now, maybe I should have reversed it, put the monkey on the front and the banana inside!

The main thing is that he liked it! Phew!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Birthday Hugs!

Hurrah Its the weekend!

How is everyone doing? As you can see its been pretty busy this week on my blog, I think i've posted more the last 7 days than the last 7 months :D

So this week Doodle Pantry are sponsoring the Fab 'n' Funky challenge!
This weeks challenge:

'Lets see those bears'

Laurie has some great images available in the Doodle Pantry store! I chose to use Cuddly Bear.
Such a versatile set! I decided to use it for a birthday card :)

Image used: Cuddly Bear by Doodle Pantry
                    Inks and Things: All printed
Papers: Kraft card from ebay, Green card from PapermillDirect, Patterned Paper from Doodle Pantry
Odds and Sods: Card Candy, Sentiment generated in word using font from Miss Tiina.

I love this cute little image!
I cut the grass out from the same print on some green card as I feel it needed a little more than just the waving bear! I think it works pretty well.

Do come and enter the challenge at Fab N Funky you could win some Doodle Pantry goodies!

Take care and have a great weekend.

Love and Kisses

Good morning everyone!

Hope you are all keeping well.
So its nearly the weekend again, hurrah!

A few of my friends got married this year, its been a busy year with weddings and babies :)

I was searching high and low for ideas, I wanted to do something vintage!
So I came across THIS kit and used a great overlay from MelStampz to create the background from papers included in the set.

Here is the card.

I love how it turned out. I used glossy accents on the girl and the boy and used crackle accents on the two heart balloons. The love and kiss sentiment were printed and then silicon glued onto the card.

Here is a close up of the glossy details!

I used distress ink to vintage-things up a bit more!

I love how it turned out, I think the couple liked it too :)
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Card Crafters Circle: Textures (The linen card, glossy accents and crackle accents)
Craft Punked: Anything Goes
Polka doodles: Square card with a circle element

Bubbles and Giraffes

Good morning everyone!

So, back before we found out we were expecting, my husband and I decided to book a party to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary.... about a month after booking it we found out we were expecting... and so yea... things changed..

Once Luke arrived we confirmed that it was going to be a naming ceremony for him. Of course any event needs some swanky invites, and these ones came courtesy of my Pink Petticoat stash!
Using the beautiful Baby Giraffe and the equally amazing Bubbles paper collection!

I coloured the giraffe digitally before printing, a lot of them, and then assembling! Here is the finished stash!

And here is a close up of them!

Printing on linen paper is my favourite at the moment, it is so forgiving, my printer isn't the greatest and sometimes colour prints look a bit lacklustre! So the linen paper gives it some texture and is very forgiving!

So the giraffes were fussy cut and then silicone glued on some more linen card, then matted onto blue card, matted onto the bubbles card and then matted onto more blue card before finally being adorned to the white... err... linen card :)

Of course glitter was a must, the cute little bow tie has been sprinkled with some glitter :)
It fits in beautifully with the color scheme at Just Add Ink

The party was a great success, we had a wonderful, yet tiring day, and Luke was magnificent! :)
I'd like to enter this/these cards into the following challenges:

Dream Valley: Anything Goes
House of Gilli: Celebration
Can You Digi It: Favourite Animal
Bugaboo: Things with tails

Hope you're all doing okay

Lots of love

All aboard Capt'n

Good morning everyone!

Guess who is here, and not just with words, I have cards and EVERYTHING!
Its been a long time, and I'm just about getting my life into some sort of order... loosely!

My little man is now 7mo's old! He is growing so quickly, he is so wonderful and such a bundle of fun!

So anyway, back to the crafting, I am behind, like epicly behind!! And  I have some updates....

So back when I was blogging, you'll know Laurie Wilson asked me to Guest Design for Doodle Pantry.... well... she asked me to stay on so I am now a fully pledged Design Team member and I couldn't be happier! I adore Laurie and her creations she is a wonderful designer and its an honour to work for her...

So leading on from this... my first card is from Doodle Pantry. It was for the release of an awesome set called 'Piratey Ship'

This set is so versatile, it can be used on its own, or teamed with other Doodle Pantry sets, for example, pirate birdie and ant accents to name a few!

Here is what I created with it....

Isn't it adorable! I picked out the blue and red to use as a background, making use of the awesome template from MelStampz. The sentiment is from the set, and there are a few others included as well. I teamed this with a little bit of distress inks around the edges, and voila ready to go!

I hope to be back soon with more updates.
In the meantime i'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

I Did It Creations: Anything Goes
Dilly Beans: One for the Boys
My Grafico: Anything Goes
Tuesday Alchemy: Anything Goes

Until then, Happy Sunday.

Lots of Love
